Mr. Giordano, known primarily as a political consultant and journalist, has a deep passion for his community and seeing effective legislation enacted that helps the masses. For instance, he is the author of the 2007 current election law known as the "Voter Registration Protection Act" (SB411). This bill allows those formerly convicted of a felony, to regain their voting rights, upon completion of the sentence allotted.
He also has introduced legislation lowering the age of participation to run for local elected office in Baltimore City from 21 to 18. Though it failed as a Constitutional Amendment in 2004, Hassan says he will continue the struggle of fairness, in making sure the younger generation is both accepted and respected, in the political arena!
